K4 through 4th Grade
Building Strong Foundations for a Lifetime of Learning
At Grace Academy, we believe the early years of a child's education are an important time for building strong academic, spiritual, and personal foundations. Our PreKindergarten through 4th Grade program provides a structured, engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to grow in knowledge, character, confidence, and faith.
Our K4 program welcomes children who are 3 years old, provided they turn 4 by January 1st of the school year. This gives young learners an opportunity to begin their educational journey in a nurturing environment where they can develop important academic, social, and spiritual foundations.
We utilize the Abeka curriculum, a traditional, teacher directed approach that provides students with a carefully organized sequence of learning. This approach allows teachers to guide students through new concepts while providing opportunities for practice, review, and reinforcement.
Our goal is to help every student develop a love of learning while building the skills and knowledge they need for continued success.
Cross Integration
Learning is strengthened when students can make connections between different subjects. The Abeka curriculum intentionally reinforces concepts across multiple areas of learning, helping students connect what they are learning and retain important skills and information.
Regular review and reinforcement provide students with opportunities to build upon previously learned material while developing a strong academic foundation.
Spiral Learning
Students learn best when new concepts are introduced, practiced, reviewed, and strengthened over time. Abeka's spiral learning approach allows students to revisit important concepts and skills throughout the year.
As students grow in their understanding, previously learned material is reinforced while new concepts are introduced. This approach helps build confidence, strengthen retention, and prepare students for increasingly advanced learning.
Learning Through Multiple Approaches
Every child learns differently. Our curriculum incorporates a variety of learning experiences designed to engage visual, auditory, and hands on learners.
Students may learn through reading, discussion, music, activities, demonstrations, creative projects, and hands on experiences. By providing a variety of ways for students to engage with new material, we strive to make learning meaningful, memorable, and enjoyable.
Growing in Faith and Character
At Grace Academy, education extends beyond academics. We desire to help students develop strong character and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through Biblical instruction, prayer, Scripture memorization, chapel, classroom relationships, and opportunities to serve others, students are encouraged to understand that their education and their faith go hand in hand.
Preparing Students for What Comes Next
Our K4 through 4th Grade Abeka program is designed to give students the academic skills, confidence, character, and Biblical foundation they need as they continue their educational journey.
We are committed to partnering with families to help each child discover their God given abilities, develop a love for learning, and grow into the person God has created them to be.
